Over the last decade, I’ve tested close to every Polaroid on the market, burned through countless film packs, scavenged for garage sale finds, invested in refurbished purchases, you name it. It comes down to this. Polaroids can be more than just your typical risky pull of the trigger with “you get what you get” mentality, type of photo. It’s an art form just like any other. 

If I’ve learned anything about Polaroids over the years, it’s the simple fact that every polaroid camera has her own personality. You need to meet her, study her, love her. Know how she moves and breathes in different scenarios. Decide on which gals you’ll carry with you on shoots or on trips to fit your needs best.

That’s why I created this course. To show my findings, my tried and true cameras, my likes and dislikes, my black and white bs. color images, my cropping & editing, my preservation of these little angels. She’s intricate and beautiful, and if given the time, can be a masterful art. It’s time to open our minds to the idea that the art goes beyond pressing the shutter.
