there is a stillness at the lake in the fall. the ferries run less frequent, the shops all closed up. retired couples occupy the waterfront, hand in hand. it’s sweet and breezy. some rain, some shine.

an opening through an alleyway at the waters edge sat waiting for Ashley & David’s arrival to wed. on a crisp october day, they vowed to each other until death. they kissed in corners, giggled tasting gelato flavors, marveled over the landscape, and spent all hours of the day clung onto each other like barnacles on a seashell. the best is yet to come.
